On Wednesday 24 May 2017, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars launched its largest Motor Cars showroom in the Asia Pacific region (outside of mainland China) in Melbourne, Australia. To celebrate the occasion, the avant-garde ‘Dawn—Inspired by Fashion’ super-luxury Drophead Coupé was unveiled.
In creating ‘Dawn—Inspired by Fashion’, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Design Director Giles Taylor and his team selected the neutral canvas of Andalusian White upon which to base three vibrant roof colours: Mugello Red; Cobalto Blue and Mandarin—the Mugello Red is on display in the new showroom. With the limited edition commissioned Collection car closing its order books in May 2017, this piece will be the only one available in Australia.
Ian Grant, Asia Pacific Regional Sales Manager for Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, presided over the launch, together with the executive team from Zagame Automotive Group Pty Ltd, the sole dealership for Rolls-Royce Motor Cars in Victoria, Australia. In acknowledgement of their partnership Grant stated “Like Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, Zagame Automotive Group strives for excellence and their constant focus is on outstanding customer service.”
The new showroom strategically located along Swan Street in Richmond, is housed in a purpose built, innovative space. A strong focus on hospitality is evident in the bespoke lounge and fully-serviced bar with lifestyle-themed setting. With a Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Ownership Services Centre housed on the premises, qualified technicians can ensure fast, accurate servicing and maintenance on all Rolls-Royce vehicles.
Rolls-Royce Motor Cars is the world’s leading producer of Bespoke, super-luxury goods. All cars are hand-built by master craftspeople at the home of Rolls-Royce in Goodwood, England. Despite a challenging worldwide backdrop in 2016, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars posted its second highest sales in the marque’s 113-year history. Global sales were up 6% on 2015, with Asia Pacific sales up 5%. 4,011 Rolls-Royces were delivered to customers worldwide. Rolls-Royce Motor Cars are sold in more than 50 countries worldwide.
Rolls-Royce Motor Cars vary in price as they are built to order, and often include Bespoke elements. Michael Bryden, Lead Designer—Customer One-Offs, is one of Rolls-Royce’s emerging design talents. Bryden is currently the Lead Designer for all customer one-off requests, meeting with Bespoke customers in Goodwood and around the world to understand their aspirations before returning to the Goodwood Design Studio to design their unique motor car. In addition to one-off projects, Bryden has been responsible for the Home of Rolls-Royce Collection, Phantom Limelight Collection and the development of Rolls-Royce accessories such as Wraith Luggage. He was also involved in the theme/concept development for the Serenity Phantom. “As a customer you can immerse yourself in Bespoke possibilities,” states Bryden, and with his knowledge and perspective, you can be assured that your Rolls-Royce will be as unique as you.
